You need some simple ingredients like butter, sugar, eggs, icing sugar, vanilla essence, dried apple and self-raising flour. The procedure for preparing it is simple as well and you can prepare it within 20 minutes. The cooking time needs 40 to 50 minutes.

First, preheat the oven and grease the cake tin with melted butter. Use baking paper in the sides. This helps to prevent the cake from sticking into corners. You can use electric beaters to beat the butter and caster sugar.

The caster sugar and butter need to be mixed well until they become creamy. Then beat the eggs one by one. Then add a few drops of vanilla essence. Then add the self-raising flour to make the mixture smooth.

Again, use electric beaters to beat some amount of butter and icing sugar until it becomes creamy. Add vanilla essence and beat for another two minutes. The vanilla butter cream needs to be fluffy and smooth.

Before starting the preparation, finely chop the dried apple. Once the mixture is ready, add the dried apple pieces into it. Then stir it well to combine them together. Pour the mixture into the cake tin and bake it for 40 to 50 minutes or until the cake gets baked well.

Then remove it from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes. Spread the vanilla butter cream slightly over the cake. Your apple cake is ready to serve now.

You can then write any message on the cake with icing sugar like “Merry Christmas”, “Happy new year” etc. The apple cake recipe provided by better homes and gardens surely lift up the spirits of your beloved ones.
